Lovers in Paris (2004)
Paris Lover is a great show. From the name of it, you'll know it'd be a super duper romantic drama which did. It was filmed in 2004 and aired in 2005. It had quite good ratings in Korea and I think it was also shown on Channel U few years back around the same time as Korea but I didn't catch it previously until I saw the repeat telecast on Sundays 2-4pm after my CSI hours. Yes I'm a CSI fan too.

Story revolves female lead Tae Young & two other male leads Ki Ju & Su Hyuk. Tae Young is a struggling film student in Paris and she took up a part time job and that's housekeeping for Ki Ju. Ki Ju is the CEO of G Motors and is being sent to Paris for training. He lived in a big luxurious house and had no idea his housekeeper is Tae Young. He was a very rigid, un-negotiable, cleanliness freak.
Tae Young has another part time job and that's selling cigarettes along the road side. So... it just so happen she was away to the toilet for a while and some drunkards messed up her stall. It just so happen that the car Ki Ju drove was parked beside the wrecked stall. When Tae Young was back, she questioned Ki Ju and demand compensation. That was how they met.
After Ki Ju managed to find out that Tae Young was his housekeeper and what happened at the road side being maligned for wrecking the stall, he fired her. She was upset cos she needed job to survive her rent and her fees. So she was strolling along streets of Paris and met Su Hyuk. Well, it turned out that Su Hyuk is nephew of Ki Ju. SH is very close to KJ so he went all the way there to look for his uncle and was surprised to love at first sight with Tae Young.
KJ was trying to clinch a an important contract and gotten Tae Young's help to act as his fiancé because the French business partner has a Korean wife. Apparently things went pretty smooth like Cinderella but a spoiler at the party claimed that Tae Young is a prostitute and KJ beaten the guy up. So the party was screwed up and KJ lost the contract cos they couple found out Tae Young wasn't KJ's fiancé and they felt cheated.
Unhappy memories in Paris, Tae Young decided to go back to Korea to pray for her father's death anniversary and realised her uncle sold their apartment away. His uncle is in debt and sold her father's camera away. Those were the remains of her father and she went through lots to find out where the camera was. It turns out that G Motors has took the camera away... and Tae Young was surprised to see Ki Ju and seeked his help but he didn't seem willing.
Once again, there were lots of unhappiness, misunderstandings etc...
I want dolly eyes like that. They say the actress zhng her eyes... really meh? But even if it's zhng, it's so prettily zhng...
Watching Paris Lovers and the situation was such that it reminded me of someone... Su Hyuk is behaving a lot like a person whom I once knew.
对喜欢的人仁慈，就是对自己残忍。
所以选择先刺伤对方来避免对方有机会来刺伤自己。
巴黎恋人女主角姜苔玲只能默默承受愧疚，
她无法回应修赫的爱，因为她的心已经在启驻那里了。
因为修赫和启驻是非常亲密的叔侄，
所以三个人常常处于尴尬状态。
修赫不想和舅舅争一个女人。
可是一个是他敬爱的舅舅，一个是他深爱的女人。
他们在一起了，理当应该给祝福，
可是。。。 对他来说，却是非常艰难。
He knows they are unable to carry on like that. He knows all he need to do was to give them his blessings but he couldn't. He has to find a way to do so but it was really hard. He knew life would never be the same for them all before even if he loves his uncle very much.
There was a scene which touched me. Tae Young broke up with Ki Joo but not out of willingness. She was in a daze going back to places where they had been before...

现在却是她一个人孤零零看着画面在眼前浮现。。。
她轻声说道，“你已经不在了，可是我的眼里还是看得到你。”
我哭了。
因为我了解那是什么感受。
毕竟，两个人在一起过，陪伴过彼此。
因为情投意合，心灵相通，
才会喜欢跟彼此在一起的时间。
但是，日久见人心。
感情会变质的。
一旦感情出现裂痕，伤痛就会跟着来。
然后就会发现，其实不适合持久下去。
分开了，心自然也会跟着少了一块。
I was reminded of a scene whereby Su Hyuk was in agony and Tae Young broke up with Ki Joo due to pressure from everyone, mostly from Ki Joo's "dad" & "sister" who doesn't approve Tae Young being with Ki Joo and asked her to leave him. Although I wonder why did she do it willingly, how come she doesn't want to 争取呢?
Ki Joo was shocked by Tae Young's actions and asked her why she decided to leave? He assured her that surely there would be a way to work it out. Tae Young said she's tired of all these, she doesn't want a marriage without blessing, she is inferior of her background as compared to Ki Joo's. She explained about all these external obstacles but Ki Joo didn't believe and Tae Toung finally said, "I'd caused Su Hyuk so much pain. How can I watch him in pain and be happily with you?"
