I started watching another Korean drama, it's called Manyo Yoo Hee or Witch Yoo Hee 魔女尤熙.

Manyo means 'witch' in Korean. Ma-nyo = Mo nu. LOL~ Yoo Hee is the name of the female lead, Han Ga-In whom I personally thought bears a striking resemblance to Son Ye-jin.

Anyway, Yoo Hee been nicknamed witch/manyo due to obvious reasons, a capable design director with no sense of EQ, harsh on subordinates and her dad was chasing her to get married but no guy wants her as she's too direct, straightforward, no sense of compassion at all.

She doesn't know how to cook, how to clean her house... basically a girl born with silver spoon with a bad temper but a successful career woman.

The 5 main characters from left: Seung Mi, Jun Ha, Yoo Hee, Mu Ryung, Johnny.

Story revolves around her transformation and her search for True Love. Awww... There are 3 main guys as shown in the poster. So lucky...

Kim Jong Hoon (the guy from Goong as Yul-goon) plays Jun Ha, Yoo Hee's first love/senior from uni. They broke up because he has to go overseas to continue his studies. He return back to Korea as a successful doctor and would be getting engaged to his fiance.

Johnny (the ang moh looking guy) knew Yoo Hee during their uni days. He was from USA and was on student exchange program and Yoo Hee was his orientation leader and tour guide in Korea. Johnny used to like her but didn't express his feelings. They lost contact when he had to return to New York. After a few years, he returned to Korea as a successful reknown French chef and works in the restaurant of a building (a tourist spot) owned by Yoo Hee's father.

Moo Ryung is the eldest brother of a family that run jajjangmyeon stall. His father is a very good cook and he aspire to become a chef but his mom wanted him to become a doctor. He got into medical school but quit after a year to pursue his interest in creating recipe and making good food. He tried to make a name for himself by being an apprentice at well known hotels or restaurant but he didn't have the right attitude and insist in his own way, defying the main chefs and was blacklisted such that restaurants go to will not hire him. He has a steady gf, Seung Mi, whom he knew since young and they were planning to get married after he settled down with a career.

Moo Ryung & Yoo Hee first met when his bike and her car collided. She demanded compensation but he doesn't have a job so he didn't have the money. They exchanged contacts and as Yoo Hee kept sacking her maids/assistance, she decided to hire Moo Ryung instead as payment contract. He lied to his parents that he'd be going overseas to pursue a skill in French cuisine but he actually moved into Yoo Hee's house and helped her with household chores, cooking, washing... basically like a butler to settle the culinary & domestic chores.

I really really like Yoo Hee's hairstyle, black short bob hair!!! I wished I could carry off that elegant look like her but my face too fat liao~

Some promotional pics of them I found online

Wah lau, really is cannot stand that stupid Kim Jong Hoon. Whenever the scene turns to him, I'd fast forward. Apparently the storyline became pretty complicated...

Initially things between Yoo Hee & Moo Ryung were purely business. He owes her money and she needs a house caretaker and they both do not owe each other. In fact, out of gratefulness, Moo Ryung gave Yoo Hee a makeover of transforming her into a more gentle, patient, understanding woman which guys would love. Because she always takes it out on him whenever her match making session fail, he decided to do something to change the situation.

I think guys like Moo Ryung practically doesn't exist. Tall, good looking, suave, sense of humour, knows how to please girls... most importantly, knows how to do housework and can cook chef standard! Awww... where to find? But Yoo Hee doesn't realise it and kept asking him to do work.... but how come Moo Ryung also willing to be her slave without any complains huh?

To bluff her father, Yoo Hee, on few occasions, asked Moo Ryung to act as her boyfriend but during this time her heart was with Jun Ha, Mr Doctor. Jun Ha somehow called off his engagement because apparently, the girl is the daughter of the hospital's owner. In order to get the hospital, he married the girl but his plan was discovered. So now...

Extract from leeyul39

Moo Ryung tells Yoo Hee he’s not getting married, then leaves. Yoo Hee hesitates for a moment, then decides to go with her feelings and chase after him —

It’s an… interesting variation of the ubiquitous back-hug. Maybe they were going for something slightly different than the standard. But it comes off more like, “Help, I’m so tired from running twenty feet to catch you that I have no more energy! Be my arm-rest!”

Yoo Hee tells him not to go, because she missed him. She doesn’t know why, but she keeps thinking about him. Moo Ryung takes her hand, then shows Yoo Hee how normal people hug properly.

After admitting that he missed her too, the happy couple cooked together, and Paran (Yoo Hee’s younger brother) watches with satisfaction. Paran also picks up Yoo Hee’s cell phone when Joon Ha calls, mentioning she’s with “Moo Ryung Hiong” at the moment.

Now that things are (finally!) out in the open, Moo Ryung breaks up with Seung Mi. The scene’s much longer (than it needs to be), because most of it is a repetitive mishmash of stuff we’ve already heard, until we get to that long-awaited line: “Let’s split up.”

Moo Ryung & Yoo Hee cleared the air and he tried to break up with Seung Mi... FINALLY!!!

After Jun Ha's plan got busted, he wanted to get back at the Director of the hospital so he seek aid from Yoo Hee's father who has the power & status to help him. Although Yoo Hee's father is not satisfied with Jun Ha, his condition was for both of them to get married. Is Jun Ha is able to win his daughter's heart, he'll give him the hospital which he'd been wanting...

What a stupid 交易 in expense of his daughter's happiness! And Jun Ha could still tell Yoo Hee that he loves her? How fake is that? Johnny's character inside the show is pretty much a .

But I gotta say, even though I love the character of Mu Ryong, I thought this guy probably doesn't exist in real life.

I firmly believe that no guy on this planet could be as sweet, unselfish, considerate, funny, and absolutely adorable. Moreover, he didn’t have to change to this guy because he already had those features even before he met Yoo Hee. For one thing, this guy never gets angry. He’s so patient, even in situations where any other guy would get annoyed. Also, the most important point is, he’s not opposed to doing housework. I know that it’s part of his job to cook and clean but he’s just such a good cook and I feel that he always goes the extra mile to make special things that Yoo Hee likes, which totally melts my heart.

Jae Hee portrays this character so perfectly that I wonder if he’s that way in real life. When he smiles, you automatically start to smile also, because it’s just so infectious. The way he said I Love You to Yoo Hee in the video message just made me deliriously happy because it is the sweetest thing ever. Can a guy be that sweet in real life? In my cynical point of view, I doubt it.

这么梦幻的人,大概只出现在梦里吧。

我又在发花痴了。。。
