Hachi: A Dog's Tale (2009)
Went jogging with Mr Z and had dinner and watched Hachiko on his
laptop.
When I was back from my previous China trip, I did get a Hachiko DVD but to my dismay, it was in Russian! It was already doubted in Russian, no way to tune to English so it's quite funny to watch the actors mouthing in English but the sound produced is Russian.

Hachiko is a predictable and sweet sweet warm movie.
A university professor picked a stray puppy and bought it home...
Awww.....
He
spent time to train it and the dog grew very close to him... and even
accompany him to the train station every morning to see him off and
every evening to welcome him home.
Everything
went well until one day the university professor got a heart attack
during one of his lectures and he did not return. Hachiko didn't see his
master.... Truth is his master had passed away but Hachiko didn't seem
to accept this even when his wife & children decided to move
away to live somewhere else.
The dog broke away and keep waiting at the train station for his master and this went on for 10 years until the old dog eventually passed away on a winter night at the station.

I teared at the end seeing how determined Hachiko was.....
