(continued from previous entry)

We walked passed West Lake Museum!

But wah lau it's closed... so cannot go in, can only take a pic of it.

Pretty pretty GREENS at West Lake Park!!!

The girls also wanted to take shots together with the greens.

这就是传说中的西湖。

话说,这就是白素珍与许仙初次见面的地方。

The temple behind should be Leifeng Ta 雷锋塔 or if not, Lingyin Si 灵隐寺. I forgot which was the temple that supposedly kept White Snake in for a few hundred years by Fa Hai?

TALL & HANDSOME POLICE WHICH I NOTICED FROM FAR!!! *faints*
I asked him, "你多高呢?"
He said, "一百八十多."
I said, "181是一百八十多,189也是一百八十多."
He and replied, "我188." and flashed me a grin.....

I like the natural lens flare captured by the camera in this picture!

West Lake normally do not have so many ppl. But because it was the firework festival, a lot of military soldiers and police were engage for crowd control.

We walked pass this group of soldiers who were probably taking break or awaiting briefing, I don't know.

J seemed amused and decided to kajiao them la~

Seems like a lot of ppl came prepared for a spot to catch the fireworks later.

The police officers were shoo-ing ppl away from the bridge's pathway. So we continued ahead until we reached another bridge and was awed by the view... K was snapping pics of us reviewing the photos.

After walking a long distance, we came by Leifeng Ta, hoping to get the chance to visit the pagada but WTF, it was closed due to the fireworks festival.

LIKE WHAT? A tourist attraction resting for a day?

Sianz... so we camwhored instead with K being our photographer for the day :P

Since we couldn't get in n visit those famous temples,
we decided to go to some ulu zabalang temples which nobody bothered....

This temple has a pretty nice view of Leifeng Ta opposite.

We went in and took some pics of this statue of tortoise...

Nice dragon on the steps....

After walking so much for the day, we decided to rest at some sitting area....
By then, J was playing with K's camera...

She continued to snap randomly and noticed this elderly couple....

J asked for their permission to take a pic.... they look absolutely loving!!!
The Ah Ma is taller than the Ah Gong! Awwww.... they smiled so sweetly!!!

Then we decided to take a group pic :)

J went hysterical and asked the elderly couple to pose lovingly & romantic!
I was surprised they compiled so easily! Very easy-going elder couple!

They were childhood sweet hearts and has been together ever since! I'm always extremely amazed by 'childhood sweeat hearts' stories! They're both really so sweet!!!

We had to ask for another group pic!

J really loved the Grandma a lot!

Later on we left but we couldn't help taking a sneak pic of the loving elderly couple.
Awww.. they're walking hand in hand~ SO SWEET!!!

After we left the temple, the crowd of getting bigger & bigger....it was a pain to wait for the public transport....

So we walked & walked & walked....

So many ppl on this bridge and I had to take a pic...

And it was captured by K....

It was really a pain in the ass to walk such a long distance but yet haven't reached where we wanted to go. The plan was to go to this eating place recommended by Y's friend that serve some nice food...

Chanced by some graffiti of a rabbit and I just did bo liao things out of boredom la!

After lots & lots of walking, THIS was the eating place!
But so many fucking ppl!!! Queue number also have to wait 100 over tables! SIAO!!!

By the, I was already hungry & tired like mad... We couldn't find seats or any place to rest. It was a damn sian situation.

And then they suggested we walk all the way back again~~ We spent walking probably more than an hour to get here. Can u imagine we have to spend the same timing to get back?

Wah lau eh... but seriously if stay on also really no place to eat la... so I walked back with a lot of grouchiness la...

Look at the crowd on the road.
We have to walk through these hordes of ppl to get back to where we started our journey from.

Finally we came by this QUIET restaurant that serve western food.... Although it's not euthentic but got things & got seats to eat good enough liao! My feet & back are hurting from all the walking already.

The nicest thing on the table is this tea.

Halfway while eating, there were some commotion outside. Turned out, the fireworks went off and ppl were getting excited etc.

But the 4 of us were too hungry to care... we just buried our faces in our food without talking a lot as we were also definitely exhausted from whole day of walking.

J & Y will still continue to walk around the area since they were staying nearby at the Orange Hotel while K & I have to catch the train back to Shanghai.

Once outside, we were faced with how to get back to the Hangzhou station. Lucky for us, there was a China version of tutuk - some kinda motorcycle with 2 seater at the back. Although the rider charged us at a rather expensive price but heck la... we didn't have the remaining energy walk back to the station anymore so we took the 10-15min ride.

Luckily we also didn't have to wait too long for the train. This time we had seat and we basically KO on the 1-hour train journey and also the 15-minute cab ride back to the Shanghai apartment.

Sunday, as Joevinzel was heading back to Singapore, we had arranged for a brunch session nearby Yvonne's place...

Y is permanently stationed in Shanghai, hence she has a rented room at some Shanghai street that has many good food!

Great food and ate until super filling.

We walked back to Yvonne's place and we passed by a cute shop that sells EVERYTHING!!! It's managed by a super young owner, lady probably in her early 20s.

She owns a little kitten and I was so awwwwww when I saw the cute cat and played with it!

This kitten reacts strongly to the sound of plastic!

After that, we head to Yvonne's place to help Joe with her luggage. It's a pity I didn't take pics of Yvonne's place cos it was really unique.

Yvonne will be going to the airport with Joe so we bade the girls bye and now on our own.

I had arranged to meet Evelyn at Huangpi Nan station at 6 but there was still a lot of time so K & spent time walking around the malls at Shanxi Nan area.

There were nothing much... pretty high class/high-end stuff that I probably won't be able to afford with my measly salary...

To be continued...
