The other movie that was left watching was Legend is Born: Ip Man.

Not quite sure why there was a remake but it was actually not bad. Although I believe most ppl would already have this 先入为主 thinking that Donnie Yen pull off the character better.

This story is more focused on his early life, how he formed brotherhood with his other friends/disciples of his teacher and how he fell in love whereas in the Donnie Yen's version... he was already married and has a kid and just fighting off enemies, doing what he can to protect his country and loved ones.

It's funny how this guy, Fan Shaohuang... acted as Jin Shanjiao, a rowdy farmer, in the Donnie Yen's version.

But over in this version, he's the sworn brother of Ip-man and he was actually a Japanese spy planted by the Japanese army to spy on the Chinese.

Same thing for Sammo Hung, he played as the in-charge of all the Kungfu/Wushu in Foshan in Donnie Yen's version. They even sparred on the dangling table where he has a tie with Donnie Yen.

But in this version, he is Ip-man's shifu. Having watched both versions, it was rather 错乱 if you think about it. =P
