I have always loved the loveline of an older female with a younger male partner. I mean, realistically we know it probably won't work out - that's why we need distraction from a movie to live out a fantasy that won't ever happen in real life.

So The Rebound is a nice chick flick showing the relationship of a 40 year old divorcee with 2 kids trying to get her life together and met a young guy.

She had gotten a young guy, fresh out of college and out of relationship to babysit her 2 kids. I guess somewhere in between, romance was brewing without them knowing, but they both dismissed it as being rebound from their previous relationship.

I guess the attraction was too hard to fight and they ended up having sex with each other. Things were going good for about 2 months until she got pregnant. She got worried although he was happy that they could start a family.

I dunno... the guy seemed to be into her but she felt that it wouldn't work out because of their 15 year age difference? I would understand her concern because she already have 2 kids and what would her friends think of her relationship with someone so young, and someone who doesn't know what he wants in life? :( Sad....

I still think it's not realistic for a 25 year-old guy to be into a 40 year-old mother of 2. Come on, there are young & single girls out there for him. Why would he choose to be with someone so much older. Not realistic at all :(

But... it's a happy ending. Everybody love a happy ending. They broke up and met with each other again 2 years later and it seemed like they were going to rekindle their relationship.
