After dinner, we went over to Vivocity to watch Bucket List.

I first heard about this movie from Chris about a month ago. I went to wiki about it and roughly learnt about the storyline and I even saw the trailer for it.

It's a super meaningful movie about 2 strangers, Jack Nicholson & Morgan Freeman (I had forgotten their screen name so I'd use their real names) who are diagnosed with cancer and had to share the same ward. They decided to embark on a journey to plan to do things they had never done before and would do it before they kick the bucket.

Actually Morgan was the one who made the list and he crushed the paper and left it on the floor. So Jack got up and read it. The funny part came when Morgan asked Jack to give it back and Jack replied, "It was on the floor, I didn't know it was a State Secret." HAHAHA...

I teared at the part where they fulfil their wishlist one by one. Luckily Jack was the rich one in the movie to be able to help sponsor all these expensive expediture like bungy jumping, hunting, car racing....

It's exceptionally touching where one of Morgan's wish was to make someone laugh so hard they tear. Because just when he was being sent to the operating theatre, he told Jack a joke and both of them laughed so hard that they teared.... and after that, Morgan didn't make it through and passed away...

Jack attended Morgan's funeral and went on to live for several years. In his list, he had written 'to kiss the most beautiful girl'. The girl turned out to be his little grand daughter.

Jack's relationship with his daughter hadn't been good over the years and when Morgan was alive, he told him that family ties are very important...and encouraged Jack to do something which he eventually did.

On top of the bucket list was "To be on top of Mount Everest". Unfortunately, both of them couldn't make it and it was Jack's "butler", Thomas/Mathew who climbed up and placed both of their urns on top of Mount Everest.

The Thomas/Mathew part was really funny because Jack is this old grumpy rich man who does everything he likes. He has a handy assistant whom he calls Thomas who attends to all his everyday needs. Someone like a male-nanny-cum-assistant kinda person.

So, Morgan, during an excursion with Jack, asked Thomas, "So, is your name Tom or Thomas?" And the reply was, "Uh.. it's actually Mathew but Mr Nicholson do not like that name and he decided to call me Thomas."

HAHAHA....
