Started watching Heaven's Wedding Gown starring Leon Williams & Cyndi Wang in a 2004 production.
It was quite nice... supposedly Ming Dao's first idol drama as a newcomer. Cyndi looks the same and quite the same role as she was in Smiley Pasta. But Leon William's role in Heaven's Wedding Gown is pretty much the same as in Green Forest, My Home.
After watching both shows concurrently, I'd say they're pretty much the same.
In Green Forest, Leon Williams is William Spencer, some CEO of an elite music school called Spencer School. Female lead Yanyan is Sophie, a music teacher in Greenlight Pri School. Sophie is childhood friends with Owen (played by Ethan Ruan Jingtian who is more known for his role in Fated to Love You as Ji Cunxi).
Owen is a reknown violinist and carrying a torch for Sophie since young. Another character is Sophie's evil sister, Susan.
The story is pretty much like Cinderella. As a child, William likes Sophie, but didn't know her name. Susan likes William as well and posed as Sophie. After a few years an adult, William is together with Susan, thinking she's Sophie. Owen likes Sophie since young but she only treats him like a big brother, a good friend. So Owen helps Sophie get William. William cleared confusion and gets the girl, Sophie.
I like the soundtrack and the concept of revolving the story around classical music, music schools, teaching music... I like the winter fashion in the show as well... very cute!

It's worth a watch if you like 绿油油的冬天画面. but you might be put off by some exaggerated expression or lines from Leon? =X
In Heaven's Wedding Gown, Leon Williams is Lu Zihao, a fashion designer who seemed short tempered. Female lead Cindy is Tao Aiqing, a farm's girl who live with her grandpa who runs the farm.
The story is also a bit like Cinderella cos Aiqing ruined Zihao's fashion show and he got her as his model in replacement. He dressed her up pretty and he began to see her differently. He always managed to sweep her off her feet and she fell head over heels for him.
Male lead number 2 is Ming Dao as Cheng Hainuo (I later learn Hainuo is Harold! LOL!) who's a bike racing champ and obsessed with anything to do with bikes.
He works in a bike repair shop, has 小混混 as friends. He's like a big brother to his friends. Aiqing happen to work part time at a racing event and Hainuo 对她一见钟情.
So the triangle begins...
If you asked me, I'd go with Hainuo & Aiqing. Cos... I didn't really like Leon's role in the drama, very short tempered and a bit abusing his wealth & talents. Aiqing is rather gong tao also kept keeping her feelings for him... Poor poor Hainuo... Mingdao damn shuai inside la...
I think if you like Magician's Love & Prince Turn to Frog, you'll like him as a biker. But I do feel that Mingdao looks better in 西装大衣 than leather jacket & jeans.
