Day 6, 2 Jan, Yokohama

Got up early in the morning again and checked out of the capsule hotel. Bought some breakfast from those $2 stall. We then walked over to visit this Aibishi Temple? I can't remember the exact name or spelling but it's one of the famous temples in Tokyo.

There were so many ppl heading inside to pray for health, wealth, luck.. whatever...

Can you recognise this place from this pic?

Shouldn't have carried such heavy luggage and I ended up have to walk around with it.

We sat down at one corner and ate our breakfast.

This is the Lipton Milk Tea which I love it very much. But it's not available in Singapore. Really very nice one leh!!!

Finished liao, continued to squeeze...

Seeing such crowd makes me think that Singapore's not that populated after all~ LOL~

Ok, perhaps you didn't recognise this place based on the buildings inside. We forgot to take the front gate when we enter..

We approached one of the rickshaw lad to take pics for us! But his skills rather limited... Take 1!
But he didn't take the lantern nor the sign

Take 2!
This is actually not bad, he took everything..but, my head was covering the lantern. =X

Take 3!
Unfortunately, I think each pic got worse & worse so we better not trouble him again after 3 takes. We also felt paiseh we didn't take his rickshaw.

Shan's friend, C was having holidays for the week so she'd be free and we could meet up with her again. We tried looking for lockers to put our stuffs but it was crowded or full everywhere. Eventually we found a place to put lockers, off we went for our lunch.

We queued up for this ramen stall and I ordered what I thought to be egg ramen.

But on closeer look, it's actually not...

I felt a bit cheated. It's actually some nuah nuah, stingy flavoured ramen... URGH! Got cheated by the picture thinking it's egg. Kaoz.

C had other plans and didn't want to visit the Big Buddha with us so Shan & I went ahead. Oh yeah, after spending time travelling, we finally get to meet Mr Daibutsu himself...

He looks damn huge!

I had no idea why but he gives ppl this calming effect.

And from far, it looked as if it was made in jade but it's actually made in bronze! Those green stuffs are actually algae formed during all these years of different seasons.

I actually like these 2 shots a lot!

This are the kind of moments, I wished I had better camera. But my digicam is good enough ba?

We queued up to get inside the Daibutsu to see the inner structure.

It has 3 levels but only the 1st two levels were for viewing. The body was BIG!! Everything is bronze... It's amazing how it could be built into such a big structure. Gosh..

Haha! This is said to be the slippers that the Daibutsu wore!

VERY VERY VERY BIG!!!!

Cute Daibutsu little plush toy!

There was this yam ice cream stall along the street as we walked out of the Daibutsu temple. Since so many ppl were trying it, I thought we'd get ourselves some!

After visiting all these temples, night fall pretty soon and we were back in the city and met up with C. We wanted to get to the Yokohama Chinatown that was situated at Motomachi area..

The whole street of Chinatown was brightly lit up with many big big lanterns!

There were a few temples that we went to. But this particular one has some 'wishing tree' thing. That's to write your wish on a strip of red clothe and tie it up onto the tree, it is said that it will come true. So I tried...

I wrote 身边家人亲友幸福快乐,笑口常开!Ok, may it come true for me!

We continued exploring the street and chance by these 2 cute 不倒翁 财神爷.

Our dinner & dessert for the night at some Chinese restaurant that served lamian!

Taste pretty good actually!

After dinner, Shan & I still wanted to visit the Yokohoma Ferris Wheel but C wanted to head back home so we parted.

The ferris wheel was really very pretty...
This pic was taken by Shan's camera... which was very good ah! Everything's sharp and clear... My Panasonic really isn't good enough for night shots.. sigh~

We purchased tics to go up onto the Ferris Wheel!! So shiok!

We had a fantastic time and before long, it was time to go! Bye bye, Yokohama!

Pics taken with Shan's phone... one thing good about it is we could self-take ourselves and compose pics nicely without having to trial & error and check & take & check & take! =X

Our coach from Tokyo back to Kobe was 1120pm so it was almost 10pm when we left the Ferris Wheel so we were basically rushing all the way until we got up the night coach...
