We decided to catch Australia at JP.

When Australia first came out in the trailers, I was wondering, "Hey, they're getting 2 Australian actors to act in a movie about the country!" Hmm...

Before the start of the movie, there was a beer/wine advertisement and a tag line that follows: See the movie, visit the country. Apparently, the Australian Tourism has sponsored part of this movie and probably doing a campaign to promote tourism for Australia.

It was a historic show and Hugh Jackman is a hot uncle!!!

To be honest, I don't really get what the show's trying to portray. And even Hugh Jackman's role is nameless except being called Drover? You can see the trailer below:

Nicole Kidman plays some rich man's wife. Her husband was murdered in Darwin or something and she went there to find out how her husband died and she continue his mission or work for him. She needed to 'shift' some thousands of horses to the other part of Australia and she has to do it with Drover's help.

Somehow through the interaction, they both fell in love. Of course there'd be baddies around to stop their way and 'scare' the horses such that a stampede is created for the horses to jump/drop off the cliffs. One of their mates were killed because of that... sigh...

Nicole Kidman's really pretty & beautiful, classy & elegant in a red cheongsam! Had cheongsam been so influencial in the west during that time?
